LAUNCHES NATIONWIDE SNOW RACE/DEMO SERIES IN 2008
FLAGSTAFF, Arizona and FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts (July 13, 2007) – Kahtoola, a leader in performance footwear traction and snow travel systems and Inov-8, specialists in outdoor trail footwear, announce the debut of the Kahtoola Snow Series for Winter 2008. The Kahtoola Snow Series includes races and demos at nine alpine and Nordic locations nationwide beginning in January 2008. The Kahtoola Snow Series features competitive and non-competitive snow travel activities including scenic guided hikes, foot races, uphill climbs and 24-hour races.
Kahtoola and Inov-8 will provide demos and product support to attendees at each event. Kahtoola manufactures and markets the FLIGHTsystemâ„¢. The product is an entirely new way to look at snow travel by allowing users to customize their own footwear with a variety of traction, protection and flotation options. The FLIGHTsystemâ„¢ includes the insulated FLIGHTbootâ„¢ with built-in traction and FLIGHTdeckâ„¢ step-in snowshoe deck. Inov-8 manufactures lightweight footwear, socks and hydration packs for demanding outdoor pursuits.
At each event, participants will be eligible for free product demos, goodie bags, and raffle prizes. A portion of race/event fees and proceeds will be contributed to the Mountain Fund, to assist indigenous mountain communities worldwide.
