Kate's Real Food Sponsors Teton Orthopedics Masters Cycling Team

Kate’s Real Food is proud to announce that they are sponsoring the Teton Orthopedics Masters Cycling Team (TOMCT) for the 2011 season. Comprised of experienced Cat 2 and 3 riders, two of whom are Wyoming State Criterium Champions, the TOMCT, sometimes referred to as TomCat, are recognized competitors who consistently place in the top 5, regardless of the race.

“We see Kate’s Real Food bars as the perfect food for us,” said Brian Harder, Spokesperson and racer for TOMCT. “We love the easy digestibility, slow burn of the fuel, natural ingredients and of course, we love Kate!”

Kate Schade, Owner and Master Mixer at Kate’s Real Food commented, “When we’re not skiing, we’re riding bikes. I’ve been friends with many of these great riders for years, and they were always complaining about the aftertaste and undesirable consistency of other sports fuel products.” Schade continued, “it didn’t take much to bring them over to Kate’s.”

Brian Smith, TOMCT Teammate recounted his personal experience: “4th stage of a stage race in Oregon105 mile stage that day, two major climbs that day with climbing finish, 35-40 degrees and cold rain,.” Smith continued, “At about 70 miles into the day, I inhaled one of Kate’s Tram Bars. It really digested well and totally brought me back to life. Although I had been eating and drinking properly all day, the Tram Bar had the extra energy needed in those conditions.”

Kate’s Real Food will provide Tram Bars, Grizzly Bars and Caz.Bars to the team for training and racing.
