Kayak 4 a Kure has no paid staff all funds, other than very minimal expenses, go directly to hospitals that perform research and treatment in the area of children’s cancers. For the 2007 year, Kayak 4 a Kure has chosen the following as recipients of their fundraising efforts: LIVESTRONG, The Lance Armstrong Foundation; St. Jude Children¹s Research Hospital; and The Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, The Center for Cancer and Blood disorders.

The cancer cure rate for leukemia in children has risen from 4% to over 80% cure rate at present. With your help hopefully we can find a total cure for this type of cancer and help to fund research that would find cures for other childhood type cancers. Each day 46 children are diagnosed with some form of cancer that is 2 classrooms of children find out that they have cancer each day. Cancer strikes regardless of age, race, religion, creed, or locality. No family is immune from the threat of cancer — what would you be willing to do to help prevent cancer striking your family? You can help by joining the fight against cancer and making a contribution to Kayak 4 a Kure. Help us to reach our goal of $500,000.
