Kayland athlete Evgeny Krivosheitsev achieved a spectacular first place finish in the Ice Climbing World Cup in Busteni, Romania, reaching the top of the course in only 6:45, 40
seconds faster than the second place finisher, Bendler, and over 3 minutes faster than the
third place finisher, Tomilov. These three were the only men to reach the top of the course.
With this result, Krivosheitsev secured his second World Cup victory of the season. This victory,
combined with his first place finish in Saas Fe, and his 6th place finish in Val Daone, put him in
first place in the final rankings in the difficulty classification of the 2007 Ice Climbing World
Cup.

Stephanie Maureau, another Kayland athlete, secured third place in the final rankings of the
2007 Ice Climbing World Cup, after having a series of strong results during the 3 stage event:
5th at Val Daone, 2nd at Saas Fe, and 3rd in Busteni.

During the World Cup, both Evgeny and Stephanie were wearing Kayland’s new competition ice climbing boot, the Ice Dragon. Their two overall World Cup podium finishes are testament, not only to their incredible athletic skills, but also to the superb performance of the Ice Dragon.
