KEEN Inc. Announces Presenting Sponsorship of International Ocean Film Tour

Legendary winter sports film company Warren Miller Entertainment and Moving Adventures Medien partner for United States tour stops for the third volume of the ocean-themed film fest.

PORTLAND, Ore. (March 15, 2016) – A natural extension of their DNA, core values, and brand ethos, KEEN, maker of original hybrid footwear, announces its presenting sponsor partnership of the International Ocean Film Tour (IOFT). In its third year, the film tour is inspired by the German-based media company Moving Adventures. Legendary film company Warren Miller Entertainment is the North American distributor for the KEEN International Ocean Film Tour, which will kickoff its premiere on April 22 in Portland, Oregon, with a collection of seven short films about the sea. 

“Water and adventure are two elements that when fused, create a relationship that’s nothing less than magical. Massive, powerful waves off the Tasmanian coast, the inherent beauty of Mexico, and a world-record set by crossing the most dangerous ocean passage, the KEEN International Ocean Film Tour sets sail for its third voyage to bring the best and most stunning ocean and watersport adventures to the big screen – this time making its way to North American soil. Premiering in April in KEEN’s hometown of Portland at Revolution Hall, the tour will hit more than 20 cities before wrapping up in Boulder, Colorado, four weeks later.

The line-up of film’s include: The Other Shore – The Diana Nyad Story, Sonic Sea – Deafening Pollution, My Own Private Monster – Windsurfing Off the Tasmanian Coast, The Edge – A Shark-lover’s Guide to the Sea, Hola Sunshine, Born To – Freediving With Sharks, and John John Florence’s View From A Blue Moon

Ocean lovers and watersports enthusiasts are encouraged to check out this event which includes 120 minutes packed with the most inspiring stories from the sea and the best watersports action of the year. Watch the trailer.
