KEEN Inc. announced today a donation of 400 single shoes to the National Odd Shoe Exchange (N.O.S.E.), a non-profit organization that serves as a resource of new, quality footwear for those requiring single shoes or shoes of different sizes. Many have this need due to injury, disease or genetic disorders.
N.O.S.E was originally founded in 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri in to support polio survivors. With many veterans coming home from the war as amputees, the service grew and broadened its scope. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt gave N.O.S.E nationwide recognition for providing such a valuable service. Today, N.O.S.E is no longer disease-specific, but assists people with a variety of conditions and life-styles. N.O.S.E ships new, quality footwear to children, adults and seniors across the United States and Canada from its distribution center in Arizona.
“Buying one shoe is a real challenge and we applaud the service that the National Odd Shoe Exchange is providing,†said Chris Enlow, KEEN Foundation Manager.
KEEN knows that other companies in the footwear industry have donated to N.O.S.E. in the past and would like to encourage more companies to get involved with this organization and make a donation today! To donate to N.O.S.E., call (480) 892-3484 and ask for Kristina Kelly or visit them online at www.oddshoe.org.
