Portland, OR – In keeping with its sustainability initiative, Hybrid.Think, KEEN is introducing the Harvest Series as part of an expanded Hybrid.Transportâ„¢ bag collection. With Hybrid.Think, KEEN is taking small steps towards making a difference in sustainability by rethinking, reusing, and repurposing where possible. It’s a bag collection inspired by and for a HybridLife.

The Harvest Series is a collection of bags that uses recycled rice-bag and excess materials from the footwear manufacturing process. The sustainable collection consists of eight unique styles including wallets, daypacks and shoulder bags. All repurposed for a purpose and available to consumers on April 1, 2008.

“We realized that there was an excess of this used material being added to landfill and that we could repurpose the material into beautiful and unique bags,” stated Eric Groff, National Sales Manager, Bags and Packs for KEEN. “Since it was used to carry heavy bags of rice the material is extremely durable and perfect for everyday use.”
