Portland, OR – January 2013–
Leading the way for Fall/Winter 2013, KEEN fuses its tried-and-true protection and durability with lightweight technology to design its fastest hiker to date. Available for men and women in low and mid heights with the option of waterproof technology, the Marshall Collection has a style for any condition and adventurer.

“The launch of the Marshall collection marks a big step in the evolution of traditional KEEN hiking boots,” says Jeff Dill, KEEN’s outdoor business unit director. “We’re thrilled to offer styles with the durability and protection that previously was only found in classic, leather styles. With low and mid styles with or without waterproof technology at a competitive price point, the Marshall Collection is a great light hiking footwear option.”

The low-cut Marshall (MSRP $110) is a high-function trail shoe for adventures in a variety of settings. Building off the success of KEEN’s light hiker styles like the Targhee II and the Gypsum, the Marshall collection is the next step in the evolution of the category. The ultra-breathable upper features 3-D mesh with lightweight synthetic overlays for durability and dynamic fit. A sturdy, high-rebound PU midsole offers energy return for those looking to speed up their hikes, while a solid rubber, high-traction outsole provides additional stability. With KEEN.DRY technology, the low-cut Marshall WP ($120) is a highly breathable, waterproof option for wet and muddy trail conditions.

“The Marshall is the fastest hiking option KEEN has ever launched and is great for people looking for running shoe fit and comfort, without compromising the KEEN promise of superior durability and protection,” says Dill.

For hikers looking for more support, the Marshall Collection also includes the Marshall Mid for men and women (MSRP $130). Open 3-D Mesh makes the Marshall Mid highly breathable, while keeping debris out. Lightweight synthetic overlays and a rubber toe bumper provide added protection. A durable, high-rebound PU midsole ensures all-day comfort for everything from day hikes to epic treks. Also available in a waterproof version, the Marshall Mid WP (MSRP $140) combines a waterproof closed mesh upper with a KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane for sloppy trails and unpredictable weather during multi-day hikes and adventures.
