Portland, OR – January 2013 —
For Fall/Winter 2013, KEEN is keeping the whole family warm on chilly adventures by expanding and improving popular styles, adding fashion-forward women’s boots, and unveiling a new insulated boot for kids.

KEEN’s Revel Collection has been updated for Fall/Winter 2013 with new features and a zip-up option for men. The Men’s and Women’s Revel II is a great winter boot option for those who work and play in the most frigid conditions. Featuring 200 grams of KEEN.WARM insulation and a waterproof, breathable KEEN.DRY membrane, the Revel II guards against cold weather conditions. Underfoot, the Heat Trapolator insulation technology uses a layered honeycomb design to trap and hold warm air to provide added warmth. The easy on and off Revel II Zip for men is also available for early morning sidewalk snow shoveling and eager snowman building. (MSRP $140)

“We are excited to expand on our popular winter collection by introducing beloved styles to even more KEEN fans. The Revel II collection brings another dimension to KEEN’s superior insulated boot styles,” says Jeff Dill, KEEN’s outdoor business unit director. “The Revel II is a great option for technical winter hiking, and the Revel II Zip is a go-to boot for chilly morning dog walks.”

For ladies looking to put the “snow” into “snowbunny,” KEEN unveils the Hoodoo II boot for Women (MSRP $150). This stylish boot is cozy and technical enough to handle wind, snow, sleet and hail. Insulated with 200 grams KEEN.WARM technology, the Hoodoo also features KEEN’s waterproof and breathable KEEN.DRY membrane for protection against the elements in wet, cold conditions. A laser-etched floral detail on the waterproof nubuck leather upper and cozy shearling cuff make the Hoodoo II boot a fashion-forward and feminine winter must-have from Après ski to snowy hikes.

KEEN revamped the Summit County III (MSRP $160) boot for men, with improved forefoot fit and adjustability. The Summit County III features 400 grams of KEEN.WARM insulation, making it KEEN’s warmest winter boot. The shellback-molded heel support gives the boot superior on-and-off ease and makes it perfectly compatible with snowshoes.

Keeping the whole family warm and dry, KEEN is adding the Kids Loveland WP boot (MSRP $70) to compliment the super popular Basin and Kalamazoo styles. With a waterproof, breathable membrane, nubuck and textile upper, and 200 grams of KEEN.WARM insulation, the Loveland WP will keep little feet dry through wintertime recess and snowy play. A bungee system on the boot shaft keeps moisture out. A dual-climate, non-marking rubber outsole with lugs provides top-notch traction on slippery or wet surfaces.
