kigo, footwear for the barefoot lifestyle and minimalist athletics, has engaged Ned Johnson and the Y.P.S. team to represent the kigo brand in the Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. More than 30 years of outdoor sales experience and a depth of key relationships make the Y.P.S. team an ideal addition to the kigo footwear tribe.

“With the Fall/Winter 2011 lines, we have significantly refined kigo as an active and lifestyle minimalist line,” said Jan Kuramoto, co-founder of kigo footwear. “We’re confident that Ned and his team have the depth and breadth of experience that will help to expand and strengthen our rapidly growing brand in this key Northwest region.”

Y.P.S. has operated since 1977, launched by Ned Johnson. Initially launched as a marine focused company, Y.P.S. expanded quickly into the general outdoor specialty category. Today, Y.P.S. represents a catalog that includes water sports, bicycling, hiking, winter sports and footwear. The Y.P.S. team operates from offices in Seattle, Portland and Anchorage.
