Kokatat Presents American Made Outdoor Gear Awards at ORWM

ARCATA, CALIFORNIA, January 15, 2013 – Kokatat will recognize winners of the 2013 American Made Outdoor Gear Awards at a presentation from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, January 24 in the Liberty Bottleworks Booth (#56008) at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market.
Kokatat will award hand-carved wooden Sasquatch statues to the producers of quality American made products who presented the best “made in America” story.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the companies, both large and small, that keep US manufacturing alive and well” said Jeff Turner, Kokatat sales and design manager. “The first ‘Sassy’ Awards presentation is our opportunity to shine a spotlight on the best made-in-America story.”
Conceptualized and hosted by Kokatat Inc., (www.kokatat.com) leading US manufacturer of technical apparel and gear for paddle sports, the 2013 American Made Outdoor Gear Award was open to all American outdoor gear manufacturers with a compelling story.
The company with the best “made in America” story will receive one-year ownership of ‘Sassy’ — a three-foot-tall Sasquatch hand carved of redwood from Humboldt County, CA.
Category winners will receive miniature versions of the award and all entrants will receive certificates of participation.
Kokatat announced the winners on November 23, 2012.
