Korkers Debuts Wading Boot Featuring Exclusive Lace Technology;
Predator Bootdials in secure, comfortable fit with ease
PORTLAND, Ore. — Korkers, innovators of functional and versatile footwear for outdoor adventurers, broadens its product line with the introduction of the Predator Wading Boot. Designed to perform in a variety of angling conditions, the Predator offers industry leading features including custom-fit capability through the use of Boa Technology’s innovative Boot Lacing System. Korkers maintains exclusive use of this technology in the fishing footwear market.
Boa’s patented steel lace and reel system for footwear guarantees ease of entry and a customized glove-like fit. With the turn of a dial, the sportsman can quickly and easily fine-tune the boot’s comfort level at any time without having to remove gloves. This system offers quick off and on access, and eliminates the hassles of tying and retying the boot and broken or wet laces.
“The Predator represents our commitment to deliver products that enhance the fishing experience,” says Korkers Director of Sales Brian Chaney. “Exclusive use of the Boa lacing system helps ensure that Korkers continues to set itself apart from the competition.”
Built for performance, the Predator is the second wading boot in the “Sportsman Series” to feature Boa’s lacing technology. The boot’s quick-drying synthetic leather upper includes several mesh drain ports, which keep the Predator light, in and out of the water. Double reinforced stitching combines with a protective rubber rand for durability and performance. The Predator was specially developed for anglers seeking a Korkers fixed felt sole boot, and accessory screw-in cleats can be added for extra bite.
Weighing in at 41.6 ounces per pair, the lightweight Predator is available beginning in May ‘09 for a $149.99 suggested retail price. The new boot comes in Black/Oxford Tan and is offered in men’s whole sizes 6 – 15.
