February 16, 2011 (Boulder, Colo.) – La Sportiva N.A., makers of technical climbing, mountaineering, Mountain Running®, hiking footwear and ski mountaineering hardware is pleased to announce recent developments surrounding the La Sportiva N.A. National Climbing Team. Most notably, La Sportiva N.A. Climbing Team member Sean McColl won last weekend’s ABS 12 Open National Championships hosted in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, La Sportiva also announced the signing of their newest team member and talented boulderer, Paul Robinson.
“Words can’t really explain how happy I felt, or maybe my English vocabulary just isn’t varied enough but I felt like I was walking on the moon,” says La Sportiva N.A. Climbing Team member, Sean McColl, in summarizing how he felt after last weekend’s victory at the ABS 12 Open National Championships.
With the addition of Paul Robinson, who recently completed his fifth V15 during an extended trip to Europe, the La Sportiva N.A. National Climbing Team continues to maintain one of the strongest, sponsored group of climbing athletes in North America.
“I’m very excited to join the La Sportiva family,” says the newest La Sportiva N.A. La Sportiva plans to release the high performance Python slipper this April. The high performance slipper has been designed for bouldering and steep sport routes and will retail for $130.
