Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort Hosts Birdies & Beer Disc Golf and Beer Festival Saturday, July 12, 2014

What:Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) will host its annual “Birdies & Beer” disc golf event on July 12. Beginners through advanced players are invited to participate in the event, which combines disc golf with a mini beer festival. The course starts at 9,300 feet in elevation and works its way through some of the resort’s most spectacular terrain. Participants will receive a stainless steel souvenir cup for four complimentary beer tastings between holes. Guests will also be able to enjoy the music and beer garden where participants will be able to purchase $2 beers.

In addition to the competition on July 12, the course/resort is open Fridays-Sundays during summer season (July 4-September 1). Course maps/scorecards, disc rental and lift tickets are available at Lee Canyon Sports in the base lodge. Daily disc golf play is $17 including a chairlift ride, 2 discs rental, and a course map. Players with their own discs may pay $10 for a single chair lift ride to the start of the course or $50 for a disc golf season pass.
