BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – Jan. 25, 2007 – Octane Fitness’ new Q37e and Q37ce elliptical cross trainers were named Best Buys in home fitness equipment by a leading consumer publication, as reported in the January/February 2007 issue.
“Right out of the gates, our Q37e Series has accumulated several prestigious awards,” noted Dennis Lee, president of Octane Fitness. “Being named a Best Buy underscores the innovation, performance and quality of these machines that are loaded with exclusive, unparalleled features.”
Unique Motion and Workouts Win Approval
The publication selects Best Buy winners based on “features, aesthetics, solid construction and the manufacturer’s reputation for durability.” The Q37 Series was honored for the Premium Selection category.
According to the product review, “The Q37e couples a solid feel and heft with more comfort, performance and style than costlier brands.” The elliptical, which debuted in August 2006, has a sleek, space-saving design and rock-solid durability at 260 pounds.
In addition, the magazine highlights the “smooth, long-stride pedal motion (20.5 inches) “ and the unprecedented Converging Path handlebars that mimic the arms’ natural motion. Unavailable on any other ellipticals, converging handlebars move inward at an angle as the exerciser presses forward, just as one’s arms naturally move toward the midline when walking, jogging or running. Then they comfortably open by the same amount on the backswing.
By keeping the shoulders, elbows and wrists in neutral, safe positions, the handlebars minimize torque and repetitive stress, offer a longer range of motion for greater muscle involvement and require exercisers to use their core.
The Q37 Series also includes Octane’s trademark MultiGrip handlebars, which enable exercisers to facilitate more comfortable, effective workouts using a variety of hand positions.
On the electronics front, “The Q37e has an excellent control panel/display screen, heart rate control (via a chest strap) and a unique ArmBlaster mode that emphasizes the upper body.” The Q37ce model also offers digital contact heart rate sensors.
Octane’s signature routines, such as the vigorous ArmBlaster program, X-Mode and GluteKicker routines are uniquely designed to emphasize cross training and total-body conditioning.
The Q37 Series is sold at specialty fitness retailers nationwide for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,799 for the Q37e and $2,999 for the Q37ce.
