North Conway, NH. (January 4, 2016) — Join Leave No Trace and Namuli, the film for a beer at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market for an opportunity to receive sweet deals on outdoor gear and celebrate the launch of the film, Namuli.
To generate awareness and raise funds for Leave No Trace and a new conservation initiative featured in the Namuli film, Live from OR will host a happy hour on January 7, 2016 from 4:30-6:00 (booth #36112).
Namuli is a community-backed film that documents the spirit of exploration and what happens when a team of rock climbers, biologists and conservationists set off on an unconventional expedition into one of the world’s least-explored and most threatened habitats. The film follows an international crew as they push the bounds of friendship, climbing and scientific research on the 2,000-foot granite face of Mozambique’s second highest mountain, Mount Namuli.
“The Outdoor Industry has championed Namuli from the very start, a film that pushes climbing up against scientific discovery and a new era of conservation,” said Majka Burhardt, Director of Namuli and founder of LEGADO. “It’s a perfect fit being able to celebrate the release at OR with our friends and family in the industry. Namuli is a film about coming together to build impact and that’s what anyone who joins us at this awesome event will be doing for Namuli and Leave No Trace.”
In support of Leave No Trace and Namuli, happy hour attendees will receive killer deals on gear from Namuli and Leave No Tracepartner brands including Clif Bar, Petzl, Patagonia, Osprey, Julbo, Patagoina, Backpacker, Klean Kanteen, ENO Hammocks, Positive Tracks, Scarpa and Smartwool. The first 20 attendees will receive a free pair of Julbo sunglasses!
