YAKIMA, Wash. – March 29, 2013 – Earth Day is right around the corner and for the second year in a row Liberty Bottleworks is asking artists to create a bottle design to celebrate.

Art can be submitted through April 10 on Liberty’s Facebook or via Instagram with the tag #LibertyEarthDay13. All entries will be posted on Facebook where they’ll be judged on the number of “likes” from the public and by Liberty’s art staff for creativity and quality of reproduction on a bottle.

Five finalists will be posted on Liberty’s Facebook page on April 12 and voting will be open to choose a winner based on Facebook “likes” through midnight on April 21. The winning design will be announced on Earth Day and immediately available on www.LibertyBottles.com with $7 from each limited edition bottle sold to be donated to an environmental organization of the winner’s choice.

The winning artwork will be printed on Liberty’s 100-percent recycled aluminum and BPA-free bottles in the company’s Yakima, Wash. factory. The winner will also get a six-pack of their limited edition bottle.

“The submissions last year were so high quality and the voting was so close that we knew this was something we wanted to do again,” said Liberty Co-Founder Ryan Clark. “Our commitment to sustainability in our products is a natural fit for Earth Day and combined with artwork from our customers makes a really special bottle.”

Artwork must be no larger than 11″ wide by 8.5″ tall, must be original and should include “Earth Day 2013.” Artists can enter by submitting to the Liberty Bottleworks Facebook page and including their chosen charity in the comments section. Entries may also be sent to libertybottleworks@me.com and will be posted on the Liberty Facebook page.

Thanks to Liberty’s one-of-a-kind cylindrical digital printer, art mediums from illustrations to photographs can be faithfully recreated on bottles in any color or design.
