LIFE FITNESS UNVEILS ITS FIRST FOLDABLE TREADMILL
Durable F3 Delivers Runner-Friendly
Experience in Space-Efficient Design
SCHILLER PARK, Ill. – December 07, 2006 – For the first time, a runner-friendly treadmill is available in a foldable design. Life Fitness, the global leader in exercise equipment, has created the F3 Treadmill; a machine that combines durability with space-efficiency to address the growing number of exercisers seeking quality equipment for the home. In fact, sales for home-exercise equipment have increased more than 80 percent in the last decade, according to the National Sporting Goods Association.
“One of the biggest limitations to creating a home gym is space, and our new F3 foldable treadmill eliminates that issue,†said Dan Wille, vice president, consumer business for Life Fitness. “Plus the design is durable enough to stand up to the pounding of running making it easier for exercisers to workout the way they want, when they want.â€
The F3 treadmill includes thoughtful details for the home environment like a soft-drop feature that gently lowers the treadmill to the floor without user assistance, springs to make folding easier, wheels to roll the machine out of the way and a release lever positioned well out of the reach of children. The F3’s quiet motor means exercisers can easily watch TV or listen to music while working out and its accessory tray leaves plenty of room for cell phones, MP3 players or remote controls.
Like all Life Fitness treadmills, the F3 includes the FlexDeck shock absorption system. This patented system reduces impact to joints by nearly 30 percent compared to non-cushioned treadmills. The Lifespring shock absorbers in the FlexDeck are guaranteed for life, ensuring runners and walkers always experience the same amount of cushioning.
The F3 is available with a Basic or Advanced Workouts Console that feature a sharp LCD display with crisp, easy-to-read graphics and text. The Basic Workouts Console makes it easy for exercisers to get on and go and includes five exercise programs while the Advanced Workouts console provides more variety with 10 programs, a wireless heart rate monitor and the ability to create two user profiles. Every F3 includes contact heart rate hand sensors, reaches a maximum speed of 10 mph and offers incline ranges from zero to 12 percent.
Pricing for the F3 Foldable Treadmill is $2,499 for the Basic Workouts model and $2,799 for the Advanced. Visit www.lifefitness.com or call 1-800-634-8637 for more information.
