At the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, Light My Fire’s Swedish FireKnife™ received the 2014 Retailer’s Choice Award. The Swedish FireKnife was chosen out of thousands to receive the Retailer’s Choice Award this year. Created through a collaboration with Morakniv of Sweden, the Swedish FireKnife is an outdoor knife with a Swedish FireSteel® Scout fire starter inside the handle.
“Home improvement retailers and consumers love new products, and the Retailers’ Choice Awards program recognizes those that are unique, interesting and hold a great promise for sales in their stores,” says Dan Tratensek, vice president of publishing for the North American Retail Hardware Association. “The Swedish FireKnife was a stand-out at the show, meeting or exceeding all those criteria.”
The Swedish FireKnife features a 3.75-inch profile-grounded blade, a comfortable, high-friction handle, and a polypropylene sheath with pocket clip. Inside the handle, the FireSteel® Scout fire starter twist-locks into place and provides approximately 3,000 strikes to light campfires, gas stoves, and barbecues.
Hardware Retailing has sponsored the Retailers’ Choice Awards at the National Hardware Show® for more than 35 years. Selected by a committee of retailers with real world experience, products selected for the award are considered the most innovative in the show and are featured in Hardware Retailing magazine.
