West End, NC – Longworth Industries, parent company of the Polarmax, XGO and PMX brands is donating over $40,000 worth of apparel to Haitian Relief. Longworth is donating men’s, women’s and children’s sleeveless shirts, t-shirts, long sleeve, undershorts and pants to victims of the Haitian earthquake disaster.
After exploring several avenues for providing aid, Longworth is working with the MERCI Mission Center of Goldsboro, NC to facilitate the distribution of the apparel, using systems MERCI has in place to transport the product from their warehouse and distribute it to the people in Haiti.
“Longworth Industries, with hard work and dedicated employees, continues to perform well in our economy and we are pleased, as a company, to be in a position to assist others,” said Randy Black, President and CEO of Longworth. “We hope this relatively small donation will be able to provide some of those who are hurting so much with not only needed clothes, but with a little hope and a reminder that there are many out here who care and want to help.”
As a company, Longworth Industries has made a strong commitment to make our communities, locally and globally, a better place to live. It is with intention and empathy that we happily offer our help.
