Lorpen (www.lorpen.com), a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance socks for outdoor, hunting and wintersport enthusiasts, has recently contracted with The Design Studio of CoCo Smith. As of March 1, 2010, CoCo Smith will oversee Lorpen’s merchandising, color selection and design for the company’s entire sock collections.

“Our engineers have the technology down to a science in terms of moisture control and comfort, but CoCo Smith will work closely with the technology crew to make Lorpen socks look as good as they perform,” says Colin Sanders, VP of sales and marketing at Lorpen North America. “CoCo Smith and her team at The Design Studio seemed like a perfect fit for Lorpen because of their experience in the outdoor and sporting goods industry and knack for design and aesthetics.”

CoCo Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology and holds a degree in Fashion Buying, Design and Merchandising. She has worked as a fashion buyer and design/merchandiser for 30 years in the sporting goods and fashion sectors of the clothing industry.
