Kids just want to have fun and over 2,000 did so last year by downloading coloring pages from the LOWA and American Hiker Magazine websites and then entering a coloring contest, earning the chance to win a pair of LOWA boots. LOWA is once again stepping up to the plate to sponsor the contest that will be announced in each of the four annual issues of American Hiker Magazine. The coloring pages will feature a seasonal theme, the first one a kick-off to National Trail Days to be held the first Saturday in June. The partnership is designed to encourage awareness of LOWA kids boots, the American Hiking Society and their National Trail Days promotion.
Young artists up to age 12 can send their drawings to the American Hiking Society where four winners will be picked every quarter. They will each be sent a pair of LOWA boots and other prizes and have their artwork featured on LOWA’s Facebook page and website. “Hikers Rule” LOWA rulers reminding kids of American Hiking Society’s Ten Essentials of Hiking will be distributed at consumer shows and events and put in each box of kids boots shipped to LOWA retailers across the country.
