“The outdoors has provided many people with comfort and relief from day-to-day challenges,” said Peter Sachs, general manager of LOWA. “We believe the outdoors is for everyone to enjoy and want to encourage all to embrace its benefits. Through the LOWA Live series, we hope by sharing extraordinary stories of our outdoor heroes, we may provide inspiration for tackling life’s daily ups and downs.”

“Female empowerment has always been an important part of my journey throughout my consulting career to now as an outdoor athlete,” said Sunny Stroeer. “My experience with gender bias as a mountain athlete inspired me to create a platform where women can confidently participate in the sport. I am honored to be kicking off the first LOWA Live event and hope that by sharing my own story, I can empower others to reach their goals, as well.”

On April 22nd, 7:30 PM EST/ 5:30 PM MST, Jim Davidson, resilience expert, motivational speaker, and New York Times best-selling author will join LOWA for the second LOWA Live. Jim will discuss his second published book, The Next Everest, which will be published on April 20th by St .Martin’s Press. Jim will discuss how he encountered a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 2015 while climbing Mount Everest and his story of survival. He will also share how he returned in 2017 to achieve his dream of reaching the summit.
