LOWA Expands: Rock Climbing Added to 2014 Collection

The vertical rock climbing arena is new to LOWA and being introduced to complete the Alpine category of their footwear. Their approach to climbing shoes is to leave the rock star hype to others and concentrate on what they know best: building performance footwear. Features include top quality materials and branded components such as Bio-Active, an anti-microbial lining, to keep feet healthy and odor-free and the Vibram® XS-grip for added performance. This collection has a slightly roomier toe box for use on multiple pitches or all-day use with no cramping.
The line-up includes the following models:
X –Boulder – A top performance shoe with a moderately aggressive downturn and extra stiff midsole that excels at steep and overhanging technical bouldering and sport climbing. X-style Velcro closure for secure foot hold. MSRP: $175
Red Eagle Lace – A top performance shoe with a moderately aggressive downturn and extra stiff midsole that excels at steep and overhanging technical sport and traditional climbing. MSRP: $165
Falco – Lace- An all-around climbing shoe with a lace closure system that is ideal for extended wear on moderate to difficult climbs with a slight downturn and LOWA’s LC-Supergrip® rubber compound. MSRP: $140
Falco – Velcro – All around climbing shoe with a Velcro closure system focused on comfort for extended use in the gym or on long moderate climbing days with a slight downturn and LOWA’s LC-Supergrip® rubber compound. MSRP: $140
Pirol Kids – A technical climbing shoe for kids and young adults that performs like an adult‘s climbing shoe, with a slight downturn and a soft midsole. Adjustable sizing through the heel tab. MSRP: $ 86
