SEATTLE, Wash. (Jan. 21, 2011) – Madshus, the world’s oldest ski company, introduces a redesigned pole line at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2011, booth # 36118. The new Madshus poles are athlete-tested and competition-proven. With a focus this season on new strap technologies for the key connection between the hand and the pole, the new Madshus pole line offers unparalleled performance and comfort from World Cup race product to fitness touring.
For skiers in search of the pinnacle of power and performance, the completely redesigned line features the improved grip and security of the all-new Contour Champion and Contour Race Straps. Refined for exceptional control of pole plant and stride, the new 3D Heatmoldable construction conforms perfectly to individual hand shapes, and its softer build makes for easy entry and exit. The neoprene comfort tab prevents strap pinch, and new silicone SuperGrip printing on the inside prevents slipping.
Nano Carbon Race 100 UHM – The new construction of this top-end race pole improves the stiffness by 5% and reduces the weight of the shaft to 58 g/m. Experience exceptional control from the new Countour Champion Strap, redesigned to provide even more performance and comfort with less weight. New 10mm UHM basket with its Tungsten Carbide Tip is more aerodynamic to shed snow and reduce swing weight.
For the Classic Touring skier, thenew Madshus touring poles blend the all-around comfort and support of the padded Biathlon Strap and full cork Race Handle with the low swingweight and excellent strength of the carbon composite shafts. The new Madshus Touring poles are the perfect balance of value and comfort.
CT60 – Built with a carbon-composite shaft that is strong and light for touring and training. The ergonomic, cork Race Handle provides warmth and comfort, and the Biathlon Strap is engineered for all-day skiing with easy entry and exit.
CT20 – New carbon-composite CT20 provides excellent value in a touring pole. The ergonomic cork Race Handle provides warmth and comfort, while the Madshus Biathlon Strap ensures ease of use.
From the stitch-and-turn finish on the Nano Carbon Race 100 UHM to the carbon composite construction of the new Madshus CT60 and CT20, the new Madshus pole line represents the same attention to detail that has defined Madshus internationally since its founding in 1906.
