Madshus Introduces Super Nano Classic Boot to RED Collection

Doubling down on integrated carbon base technology for World Cup performance

Seattle, Wash.(February 8, 2016) – Madshus, the world’s leading performance Nordic Ski Company, is excited to announce the release of the revolutionary Super Nano Classic boot (MSRP $499.00) to the athlete-driven Madshus RED collection of products. The first of its kind in a classic style race boot, the Super Nano Classic utilizes a one-piece integrated carbon base, specifically tuned to provide forefoot flex for classic skiing and torsional rigidity for stability on downhills. 

“In classic boots, easy forefoot flex and downhill stability do not usually go hand in hand, but with the new Super Nano Classic boot, skiers get both features,” stated Jon Fewster, Category Manager of Boots and Poles at Madshus. “The carbon wraps around the heel and through the arch to provide stability, then in the transition to the forefoot, the fibers are oriented at 45-degrees and the layers are reduced to provide a precise forefoot flex for superior control of the wax pocket.”

Along with the introduction of the Super Nano Classic, 2016 will see Madshus deliver a redesigned version of its award-winning Super Nano Skate boot (MSRP $799.00). Introduced in 2013, the Super Nano Skate was the first boot to utilize a one-piece integrated carbon base, which made it 47 percent more torsionally rigid than any previous Madshus race boot. In addition to a completely transformed look, the 2016 Super Nano Skate has the same performance in a lighter construction. The hot-melt sealed seams will also keep skiers dryer throughout workouts and on race day.

Both Super Nano boots feature Madshus’ RevoWrap™ technology, which delivers a precise and confident fit thanks to its single-piece upper and minimal seams.
