SEATTLE, Wash. – Madshus, the world’s oldest ski company, has reimagined what a classic touring ski can offer in performance, speed, stability, and grip with the introduction of the newly redesigned Madshus Touring Series at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2012. Featuring the Madshus MultiGrip Vario+ (MGV+) patterned base, all-new Paulownia core construction and unique fiberglass carbon layup, the new Touring Series offers extremely lightweight, high-quality touring skis.
Headlining the new Touring line, the Madshus Beitostolen features an innovative new construction of Paulownia – a fast-growing, farm-raised, sustainable wood core material – surrounded by carbon reinforcement for optimal lightweight stiffness and torsion.
Available in waxable or waxless constructions, the Beitostolen provides exceptional speed in glide through its well-defined camber style. Madshus’ MultiGrip Verio+ option brings hassle-free grip to the new Beitostolen MGV+, providing skiers with secure grip and lateral stability for patented confidence in any conditions.
BEITOSTÖLEN – The new Beitostolen is an extremely lightweight, high-quality touring ski with 4mm sidecut and Torsion Cap construction for easy turning. The well-defined camber style provides easy grip over a variety of conditions, from groomed tracks to loose snow.
