SEATTLE, Wash. (January 16, 2014) – Madshus, the world’s leading performance Nordic ski company, has been investing in a growing roster of talented US athletes to represent its REDLINE products in domestic and international races. The US Madshus team is comprised of talented athletes across both Nordic Combined and Cross Country competition.

“We’ve worked hard in the US to build a well-rounded team that comprises athletes competing in Europe and World Cup competition with a host of athletes who dominate the domestic race scene,” said Chris McCullough, Global Brands Manager for K2 Outdoor and US Marketing Manager for Madshus. “It remains a focus for us to expand our reach on the global stage while also capitalizing on an emerging North American market through strong domestic representation,” said McCullough.

With the signing of Brian and Caitlin Gregg last August, the Madshus team has seen solid momentum leading into the early part of the 2014 season. Brian and Caitlin Gregg join an impressive roster of US athletes that includes World Cup competitors: Noah Hoffman, Todd Lodwick, and Bryan Fletcher, as well as dominant domestic racers Ryan Scott, Sam Naney, and Miles Havlick. Through the first half of the 13/14 season Madshus athletes have achieved monumental results in both domestic and international competition:

Noah Hoffman:
Hoffman finishedninth in the overall standings at the World Cup event in Kuusamo, Finland in December, 2013. He then followed that up with the best ever finish for a US male at the Tour de Ski in Val Di Fiemme, Italy, finishing in 25th place. Having secured his spot for Sochi, Hoffman has proved to be one to watch this season.

Brian Gregg:
Brian Gregg has stacked the early part of the 13/14 season with a host of topline results. Brian recently capped off an impressive National Championships with a strong second-place finish in the 30k Freestyle.

Caitlin Gregg:
Caitlin Gregg has bettered the field in nearly every race she’s entered this season, culminating with her dominant victory at US Nationals; she won the 20k Freestyle by nearly four minutes, marking the fourth national title of her career.

Todd Lodwick
With his victory at the US Trials in December, 2013, Todd Lodwick secured his ticket to Sochi, for the sixth time as a Nordic Combined Madshus athlete.
