Maintaining Margins through the Holidays Webinar Set for December 9
BOULDER, CO (November 23, 2009) – On Wednesday, December 9, from 2:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. (MST) Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) will present Maintaining Margins through the Holidays,a live Webinar workshop that will present recommendations for immediate implementation to assist retailers in maintaining their margins during the holiday shopping season.
Presented by Jay Townley of Gluskin Townley Group, Maintaining Margins through the Holidayswill cover:
§ Weekly reporting
§ A “good-better-best” approach to merchandising and pricing
§ An immediate in-store sign strategy
§ Lifestyle and holiday season display strategies for deployment in 24-hours.
§ Suggestions for new value “bargains” and “packages”
§ Quick and easy ways to implement staff training and education for add-on sales, closing sales and making their store “sticky.”
“In this economic climate, it is hard enough to maintain your realized gross margins on merchandise during the spring and summer, much less during the holiday shopping season that starts with the dreaded ‘Black-Friday,'” said Ann Obenchain, vice president of member services and marketing for OIA. “This webinar is designed to provide recommendations to help retailers remain profitable through the holidays.”
Maintaining Margins through the Holidays is the eighth of nine retail workshops in the 2009 OIA Outdoor University® program.
