Burlington, Vermont (June 10th, 2009) – Mammut Sports Group USA, providers of
Swiss quality alpine gear and apparel saw two more team athletes on the podium this
past weekend. After seeing a win from boulderer Paul Robinson at the Mammut Gravity
Brawl over the weekend of May 29th and 30th, German athlete Jonas Baumann took first
place in the IFSC Bouldering World Cup held at the Teva Mountain Games over the
weekend of June 6th. Rockies regional sales rep and legendary boulderer Bobbi Bensman
led the charge in the masters division of the citizen’s bouldering competition at the Teva
Games as well.

A five-year veteran to the competition circuit, Jonas Baumann started off a season of
success with a fourth place finish at the IFSC Bouldering World Cup in Kazo, Japan. He
rode that success through the early season and onto the IFSC World Cup in Vail. His win
in Vail has brought him up to fifth place overall in IFCS rankings with a total of 233.28
points.

The IFSC Bouldering World Cup kicks off with over 70 athletes from over 20 countries.
Over the course of qualifiers, semi-finals and final rounds, that group is whittled down to
six men and six women, of which the top three earn podium spots. Points earned at
each event are then added to the athletes overall scores. The athlete with the most
points at the end of the series is declared the World Cup Winner.

Jonas Baumann’s past IFSC World Cup accomplishments include fourth place at the
2009 World Cup in Kazo, Japan, fifth place at the 2008 World Cup in Moscow and third
place at the 2007 World Cup in Erlangen, Germany.

Bobbi Bensman, another veteran of the competitive bouldering circuit, dominated the
Women’s Masters Category, taking home gold.
