Mammut Sports Group USA Expands Sales Force in Canada and Western U.S.

Mammut Sports Group USA, providers of Swiss quality alpine gear and apparel, today announced two new additions to the company’s growing sales force. Mark Freeborn will join the sales team as territory manager, with sole dedication to Mammut for all of Canada as the brand furthers its commitment to its dealer partners and the Canadian market. In another growth step, the brand has divided its Southwest sales territory, and will bring on Greg Kaiser to cover Southern California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada.

Jeff Cunningham, National Sales Manager for the Mammut Sports Group brands in the U.S., sees potential for substantial growth in both the western states and in Canada with the addition of two well respected and proven team members.

“Finding the right person to serve the Mammut dealer base in Canada is so important to us, as Canada continues to show a tremendous amount of growth potential,” said Cunningham. “Freeborn is really committed and earnest about growing the business, and as a core climber, really understands our product, brand, and especially our customers.”

With close to a decade of sales experience, Victoria, BC-based Freeborn will be servicing the entire Canadian market on behalf of the Mammut, Raichle, and ToKo brands. As a dedicated Mammut Sports Group territory manager, Freeborn will focus on supporting existing dealers in all aspects of their business related to the brands, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and bolstering brand awareness throughout the region.

Industry veteran Greg Kaiser has strong and well-established business relationships with the many specialty dealers in his territory. Kaiser will be representing the Mammut brands while servicing specialty dealers throughout his western territory, bringing 23 years of sales and outdoor market expertise to the position. Kaiser will focus on facilitating sell-though for Mammut’s California, Arizona, and Nevada dealer partners by providing consistent dealer service, retail staff sales and technical training, and supporting key regional events and promotions.

“We’ve taken a big step by dividing this territory, ensuring our dealers are getting the best level of service,” Cunningham said. “Kaiser is such an established, professional rep in this area, giving Mammut a strong sales edge in a territory that shows enormous growth potential for Mammut.”

In Southern California especially, there are so many climbers who will embrace Mammut’s quality and respond to the increased distribution and brand presence in the region.”
