Mammut Sports Group USA Picks Up Rincon Sales for Rockies Territory

Mammut Sports Group USA, providers of Swiss quality alpine gear and apparel, today announced a new sales group for the Rockies territory. Effective immediately, Bobbi Bensman and Steve Srednick of the Rincon Group will serve as the brand’s sales representatives to specialty dealers throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah.

Mike Welch, National Sales Manager for the Mammut Sports Group brands in the U.S., sees potential for substantial growth in the territory with the addition of two well respected and proven sales reps.

“Attracting and recruiting this kind of talent is exciting for Mammut USA as well as for our dealer partners in the Rockies,” said Welch. “As a core alpine and snow brand, the Rockies territory is a crucial part of our business, and having Bobbi and Steve on board will provide our dealers with the support and service they need to be most successful.”

Legendary climber and athlete Bobbi Bensman has been representing core outdoor and climbing brands as a salesperson for over ten years, and as a sponsored athlete for more than twenty. She joined forces with Srednick to establish Rincon Group in 2005.

With 14 years of outdoor industry sales experience, Boulder, Colorado based Srednick brings deep expertise to the growing brand. Both Bensman and Srednick are dedicated climbers and skiers, and the husband and wife team have a proven track record in technical product training and facilitating sell-through for their regional network of retailers.

“Mammut has been on a solid sales and growth trajectory for several years now, in both the hardgoods and softgoods categories. The addition of Rincon to our sales force is another important step in supporting our dealers in the Rockies and providing them with the best service possible,” said Welch.

In North America, Mammut is seeing big jumps in clothing sales, doubling the dealer base in the Specialty market in the last year alone. Hardgoods still remain a primary focus for the dedicated brand with sales of legendary Swiss quality ropes and other climbing hardgoods up 40% in a relatively flat market.
