In response to the dramatic growth in demand for packable, lightweight, non-restrictive gear, Manzella is introducing the UltraLite line, offering maximum performance with minimum weight. With careful selection and placement of fabrications Manzella is able to offer its “less is more” line.

Four-way stretch fabrics used in the collection offer second skin fit, eliminating cold air and providing light compression to promote warm blood circulation. And the next to skin sides are designed with ribbed constructions or have been lightly fleeced to maximize air entrapment.

“The challenge with this line was creating a lightweight glove without sacrificing performance features or warmth technologies,” explained Lou Fliszar, vice president of sales, Manzella. “By utilizing technical fabrics that work with the body to promote warmth we were able to exceed the consumers expectations for a lightweight glove.”

Highlights of this “less is more” line include: the Black Silk Weight Windstopper Glove, with a Control Grip Pattern for gripping power and dexterity at $30; and the Trekker, a Windstopper Softshell glove offering wind resistance and breathability for $30 in Black. The Trekker also features a durable synthetic palm for abrasion resistance and dexterity and a Neoprene cuff. The Silk Weight Windstopper is classified as “Warm.” in the Manzella Glove Selection System and the Trekker is classified as “Warmer.”

Other lightweight options include the Velocity, a Neoprene Stretch Softshell Combo Glove in Black, Sunrise or Sky for women and Onyx, Rain or Sunrise for men, for $40; the Zephyr, a windproof fleece glove with a microfleece palm for $20 in Black; and the Vapor available in Black, Electricity or Sky for women and Black or Electricity for men, styled with a polyester spandex shell, a moderate abrasion resistant fabric with a Control Grip Pattern for $25. The line is rounded out with the Power Dry glove, the Power Stretch glove and the Max-10, a polyester/Lycra liner or glove. The Velocity and Zephyr are classified as “Warmer” and the Vapor, Power Dry, Power Stretch and Max-10 are “Warm.”
