LEBANON, NH. – Marker-VÃ¶lkl is launching a new line of â€œSticksâ€ for the 2011/12 ski season.
The new line, called â€œPhantasticksâ€ offers VÃ¶lkl consumers a diverse selection of ski poles designed to offer superior performance as a stand-alone, VÃ¶lkl-branded product, going beyond simply offering matching poles for the company’s skis.
â€œIt’s a natural extension for our brand as a hard goods supplier, and the unique look and feel of the product has generated excitement amongst retailers who have seen it,â€ said Geoff Curtis, vice president of marketing at Marker VÃ¶lkl USA, who said the line has been equally well received at both city shops and mountain shops.
The â€œSticksâ€ collection includes five distinctive types of poles available in an array of materials, color combinations and lengths. The collection includes:
â€¢ Phantastick – available in adult, junior and kid sizes, with unique colors and graphics designed to add pop on the retail floor.
â€¢ Puristick – featuring pastel and metallic finishes with soft-touch, white grips, offer a feminine look and feel combined with great performance.
â€¢ Speedstick – offers soft grips and a resilient shaft, is available in both adult and junior sizes and meets the needs of competitive racers.
â€¢ Trickstick – designed specifically to address the unique needs of freestyle skiers, the Trickstick is available in a range of short lengths for all types of freeskiing.
â€¢ Magistick – composed of carbon graphite and the lightest pole in the range, appeals to the skier who wants light weight and a comfortable, leather-trimmed grip.
