Marker-Völkl Launches Sticks

LEBANON, NH. – Marker-Völkl is launching a new line of “Sticks” for the 2011/12 ski season.

The new line, called “Phantasticks” offers Völkl consumers a diverse selection of ski poles designed to offer superior performance as a stand-alone, Völkl-branded product, going beyond simply offering matching poles for the company’s skis.

“It’s a natural extension for our brand as a hard goods supplier, and the unique look and feel of the product has generated excitement amongst retailers who have seen it,” said Geoff Curtis, vice president of marketing at Marker Völkl USA, who said the line has been equally well received at both city shops and mountain shops.

The “Sticks” collection includes five distinctive types of poles available in an array of materials, color combinations and lengths. The collection includes:

• Phantastick – available in adult, junior and kid sizes, with unique colors and graphics designed to add pop on the retail floor.
• Puristick – featuring pastel and metallic finishes with soft-touch, white grips, offer a feminine look and feel combined with great performance.
• Speedstick – offers soft grips and a resilient shaft, is available in both adult and junior sizes and meets the needs of competitive racers.
• Trickstick – designed specifically to address the unique needs of freestyle skiers, the Trickstick is available in a range of short lengths for all types of freeskiing.
• Magistick – composed of carbon graphite and the lightest pole in the range, appeals to the skier who wants light weight and a comfortable, leather-trimmed grip.

Völkl Phantasticks range from $29.00 to $89.00.
