Rohnert Park (CA): Last November, Marmot, a leading outdoor manufacturer, and Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, a buying group of nearly 42 independent specialty retailers with over 90 store fronts across the United States, collaborated for a second season on a promotional and fundraising event for The Conservation Alliance, one of the most important environmental conservation organizations in the outdoor industry. Promoted through Grassroots retailers, throughout the month of November, $10 from the sale of any Marmot products—$99.00 or more—was donated to The Conservation Alliance. The net effect totaled $10,000.
