Marmot and RootsRated Officially Kick Off "Fall in Love with the Outside" Road Tour; First Event Saturday

Chattanooga, TN — Today, the RootsRated and Marmot “road warriors” set off on the Fall in the Love with the Outside Road Tour. Jake Wheeler and Ry Glover set out from Chattanooga for the first leg of a three-month retail tour that begins tomorrow in New York City at Paragon Sports. Using the hashtag #LoveTheOutside, the two will be creating content along the way and engaging with outdoor enthusiasts across the country. Last month, Marmot, the outdoor apparel, equipment, and sporting goods company, and RootsRated, the outdoor media platform, announced the launch of the nationwide road tour and grassroots pint night series for fall 2016.

The tour currently has 23 events scheduled in specialty outdoor stores across the country, and the two-man road tour crew is excited to set off on what will be a three-month celebration of all the things each brand loves about the outdoors.

And when you pair this with with acoustic covers and craft beer, well, it’s an award-winning combination, and we can’t wait to get started!”

Each event will include not only live music and craft beer but also tent pitching contests, outdoor trivia, a photo booth with the Marmot mascot, and conversation-filled evenings about where and how to access the best experiences in the Great Outdoors. Donations collected at each event will go towards benefitting local conservation groups.

A suggested $5 donation at the door will help raise money for local conservation groups of the selected retailer’s choosing. In addition to helping local conservation causes, attendees will receive a pint jar from Ball and craft beer from Lagunitas Brewing Company as well as the chance to win great outdoor gear and apparel from Marmot.
