Rohnert Park, CA: After twenty-two years of successful business operations in Santa Rosa, California, leading outdoor manufacturer, Marmot Mountain, LLC, has relocated their worldwide headquarters to an expansive new facility in Rohnert Park, California. The relocation represents a milestone for the 38-year-old brand of award-winning, high-performance clothing, apparel and equipment. In addition, this expansion reflects the continuing achievement of the brands accelerated growth since it was acquired by the Jarden Corporation in 2008.

Originally founded in 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado, Marmot moved to Santa Rosa in 1990 with just 20 employees. Today, the company has more than 120 employees at the Rohnert Park facility and plans to hire at least 40 more over the next three years. The contemporary, campus-style Rohnert Park headquarters—complete with ample office spaces, modern meeting rooms, three (3) exceptional showrooms, stylish cafeteria, workout facilities and a one acre park—can easily accommodate for staff increases and will enhance business capabilities.

Mark Martin, President of Marmot Mountain LLC and Jarden Technical Apparel (pictured) explains, “This is a landmark event for our company and our employees. We’ve more than doubled our square footage and we’re poised for many more years of product innovation, design creativity and brand evolution on a global scale.”

Marmot’s products are already being sold in 56 countries worldwide. Martin explains, “That global success ties directly back to our product line. We have a refined, universal design language, and an advanced color offering that resonates with our customers in Asia, Europe and North America.” Marmot’s total international sales currently make-up 42% of the business.

Marmot signed leases for two buildings at the new Rohnert Park location: a 43,000-square-foot main office facility and a 15,000-square-foot manufacturing space, where it will continue to fill its highest-end sleeping bags with premier down—a company tradition since it started constructing down bags in Grand Junction, Colorado in the 1970’s.

The well-timed relocation to the outstanding new Rohnert Park facility (located at 5789 State Farm Drive) moved the company just 10 miles south of the previous Santa Rosa location, keeping the business and staff steeped in Sonoma County.

“This transition is an investment into our future growth potential, but it’s also a commitment to Sonoma County and the North Bay community,” adds Martin. “More than ever before, we’re equipped with a remarkable staff and an amazing facility—ready to take Marmot to the next level.”
