Santa Rosa, (CA): Marmot, a leading manufacturer of high-performance, ski and outdoor apparel and equipment, is sponsoring Aspen Fashion Week again this year (March 11-14); unveiling the company’s most exciting ski, resort fashion and lifestyle collections to date. This unique event, which blends cutting-edge fashion with a passion for skiing and mountain life, kicks-off festivities this coming Sunday in downtown Aspen, Colorado.
“Our Snow Sports line has evolved dramatically over the past several years,†explains Greg Houser, Marmot’s Vice President of Design, who will be attending Aspen Fashion Week for the first time this year. “We’ve focused our attention on building a long-term platform, exploring bold new colors, innovative fabric combinations, sophisticated design elements and timeless patterns that speak to the soul of skiing and resort fashion,†adds Houser.
Karen Smith, Marmot’s Director of Business Development, who is assembling 40 of the company’s most exciting Fall 2012 ‘looks’ on the Aspen Fashion Week Snow Stage, Monday, March 12 at 5:30 PM, describes the ensemble as “Visually engaging, inspiring—modern, sophisticated and authentic—just what you would expect to see from Marmot.â€
Smith adds, “It’s exciting to see the expansion of the line with so many new silhouettes and clear colors. That’s what has resonated with our customers and retailers this year and made our Marmot retail stores that much more successful.â€
In addition to presenting highlights from the Fall 2012 at Aspen Fashion Week, Marmot will be hosting a Tacos & Tequila Party for AFW attendees—a huge success two years ago—at the Marmot Aspen concept store, centrally located in historic downtown Aspen (210 S.
