Rohnert Park (CA): Outdoor clothing, apparel and equipment manufacturer, Marmot Mountain, LLC, is pleased to announce that Joe Flannery has been recently promoted as Newell Brands Senior Vice President and General Manager of Technical Apparel, which includes Marmot and ExOfficio brands. Flannery, who started with Marmot in January, 2016, will lead all aspects of business for both companies moving forward. In April 2016, the Marmot and ExOfficio businesses became part of Newell Brands, the new company formed with the completion of the combination of Newell Rubbermaid and Jarden Corporation. In his new position, Flannery will report directly to Rich Wuerthele, CEO of Newell Brands Outdoor and Recreation Division.
Over the past twenty years, Flannery has been a key contributor to the success of leading brands in the outdoor, sporting goods and hospitality industries. Flannery came to Marmot after serving as the president of Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH), the largest heli-ski operator in the world. During his time at The North Face as Vice President of Marketing, Flannery was part of a high-growth environment, directing a global strategic marketing plan. Early in his career, Flannery gained valuable footwear and lifestyle product experience at Adidas, working in Herzogenaurach, Germany and Portland, Oregon.

As Newell Brands Senior Vice President and General Manager of Technical Apparel, Flannery succeeds Mark Martin, who left the company at the end of 2016 after 21 years of service.
