Ogden, UT – Mavic, a leading manufacturer of bike systems and riders’ equipment and Suunto, a global leader in sports precision instruments announce the appointment of Mike Wilson as the new North American marketing manager for both brands. Mavic and Suunto are sister brands owned by Finnish sporting goods company Amer Sports.

Mike Wilson comes to Mavic and Suunto with more than 20 years of experience in the industry including 10 years working for Salomon, another Amer Sports brand. After his work with Salomon, Wilson became a consultant in the cycling industry. He also helped launch Kali Protectives, a successful helmet and body armor manufacturer in the action sports industry.

“I’m excited at the opportunity to join the Amer Sports family and be involved with the growth of Mavic and Suunto,” says Wilson. “These brands are at the cusp of break-out growth and I couldn’t be more excited for the future.”

Wilson has relocated from San Diego, California to Ogden, Utah where Mavic USA and Suunto USA are located. Wilson is an avid cyclist and one of only 250 riders to complete the solo Race Across America (RAAM) with a time of 11 days, 19 hours and 56 minutes.
