As a part of a commitment to a sustainable future, McNett, an industry leader in gear care and repair products, has joined the Puget Sound Energy (PSE) Green Power Program. McNett joined at a Leadership Level, and will purchase one hundred percent Green Power for its Bellingham, WA headquarters.
Through the PSE Green Power Program, McNett will be contributing to the region’s environmental and economic health by supporting the development and use of renewable energy projects in the Pacific Northwest.
“For many years, McNett has also focused on taking the appropriate steps to make its products, packaging, and processes ever more environmentally friendly,†stated McNett Product and Marketing Manager George Farkas, “and we encourage our suppliers to do the same.â€
Mcnett has also phased out all PVC components for its packaging and now uses materials with the highest recyclable content on the market. The brand also converted to printing with soy-based inks on all packaging materials and blister cards in 2006. Within the office environment, McNett has focused on sustainable practices such as a strong recycling program for all packaging and office supplies, provides free bus passes for employees and encourages its valued staff to make good ecological choices in their personal lives.
McNett has also helped encourage America’s youth to develop an appreciation for the environment through sponsorship of the Outdoor Foundation’s Teens Outside program and the Scuba Diving Industry’s Oceans for Youth program. Both non-profit organizations encourage teens to develop an appreciation and respect for the environment with the goal of fostering a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts.
McNett will exhibit its well-known ReviveX gear care formulas, the Aquamira family of water purification products, and the new 2009 spring product lineup at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August.
McNett Brands and Trademarks are the most recognized and trusted products in their categories. ReviveX®, Aquaseal®, Seam Grip®, Freesole® and Aquamira® brands are available in over 70 countries.
