Med-Fit Systems, Inc., manufacturer of Nautilus® commercial products has announced an agreement to purchase substantially all of the SportKAT Company’s assets.
“Purchasing of the SportKAT Company provides us with a platform to fulfill our mission statement- providing products and programming to serve the entire wellness continuum, stated Dean Sbragia, CEO of Med-Fit Systems, Inc.
In addition, Sbragia claims, the SportKAT and Korebalance balance products provide us with an enhanced technology and IP portfolio, which will augment our commitment to provide cutting-edge products and programming to the commercial fitness, rehabilitation, athletic training and senior fitness markets.â€
The SportKAT product line will also enhance Med-Fit Systems’ ability to service and expand upon the over 1000 long term care facilities utilizing Nautilus® strength products to improve patient function and reduce cost of care.
Med-Fit Systems, Inc. plans to meld the operations into its Virginia manufacturing facilities and relocate SportKAT’s southern California employees to its Fallbrook location.
SportKAT is a twenty year old FDA regulated computerized balance assessment and training equipment company based in Vista, California. The line features a proprietary inflatable bladder and touch screen computer control facilitating various levels of instability used to test and train visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive response.
Med-Fit Systems, Inc. is a twenty-three year old physical therapy and senior care products provider located in Southern California. On February 19, 2010, the company purchased the assets of the commercial fitness equipment division from Nautilus, Inc.
