MercuryCSC Adds Mike Geraci at VP, Maclaren Latta and Stacie Wunsch Move Up
Award winning travel and outdoor agency bets on convergence with nontraditional creative lead
BOZEMAN, Mont. — MercuryCSC President Jeff Welch has announced the hire of Mike Geraci in a new role for the agency—VP of Converged Media. In addition, Stacie Wunsch has been promoted to VP of Client Services and Maclaren Latta to VP of Consumer Insights.
Geraci will oversee the agency’s Effie-award-winning creative department and implement integrated brand marketing that combines creative strategy with social media, content development, traditional PR, and other innovative channels.
“We’re good at what we do, but we can always be better, and that’s what bringing Mike on board and promoting Maclaren and Stacie is about,†said Welch. “The most effective stories are told across platforms and channels, and we’re going to be pushing our clients even harder to move towards converged thinking in the new year.â€
Geraci was most recently the creative director at FreeRange Media. He has previously served as VP Digital/Content at Verde PR & Consulting, and as Founder and Chief Strategist at Base Camp Communications. He was courted for his long history of ahead-of-the-curve thinking and on-the-ground success in developing brand strategies that converge paid, earned, and owned media into a coordinated storytelling effort.
In other moves designed to strengthen MercuryCSC’s position as the authority on people who value travel, outdoors and community, Latta is taking the helm of the agency’s research arm, while Wunsch will oversee client services. Both will work closely with Geraci to develop solid strategy based on real evidence and help clients connect with their core through evocative, no-bullshitâ„¢ creative.
“The old saying, ‘Your assets walk out the door every evening,’ is never more true than in a creative agency like ours. And that’s why I feel a little more heft on the balance sheet with a few changes and additions to our leadership team as we enter the new year.â€
In the past few years, MercuryCSC has forged a new path in the marketing industry: focusing on an audience that wants to connect with authentic brands but often shuns traditional advertising.
These people value travel, outdoors and community. MercuryCSC uses its proprietary research panel and an inner-sanctum knowledge of this market to help its clients break through the noise and connect with them.
They are the core audience of the travel and outdoor industries—net promoters, early adopters, and voracious travelers—and an important segment in many others. Reaching them has always been about authentic stories without pretense. And as the media landscape has evolved, they have been some of the first to embrace new technologies.
MercuryCSC connects brands to consumers who value travel, outdoors and community. Founded in 1998, independently owned MercuryCSC is based in Bozeman, Mont., frequently called one of the premier outdoor lifestyle towns in North America and the United States, with other offices San Francisco, Cal. MercuryCSC’s work has recently won a Silver Effie and platinum recognition from HSMAI, and the company was recently ranked the #4 best place to work in the U.S. by Outside Magazine.
