MERRELL 1TRL COLLECTION LAUNCHES IN THE U.S. TO SHOW THERE’S MORE TO THE TRAIL THAN JUST THE HIKE

ROCKFORD, Mich. (April 19, 2021) — Merrell 1TRL, the exclusive collection from Merrell, the global leader in outdoor footwear has arrived in the U.S. after its initial 2020 launch across Europe.

The collection, which drops in selected premium retailers and on merrell.com/1trl from spring, continues to challenge traditional perceptions of the trail footwear aesthetic without compromising on the quality of design and performance technology synonymous with Merrell.  

This season’s shoes have been brought to life through the lens of photographer and filmmaker Liam MacRae. Shot in the Californian backcountry, the campaign film and imagery evocatively capture the spirit of exploration and stepping into nature to take a step back from the day-to-day.  

No matter how the individual welcomes the outdoors, the 1TRL collection can elevate their experience with 17 products available within the premium range. Exclusive iterations of classics rooted in Merrell’s mountain trail heritage arrive in the form of the ‘MQM Ace Craze 1TRL’ and ‘MQM Ace LTR 1TRL’. The release of iconic footwear re-imagined with both ‘Jungle Slide Vent 1TRL’ and the ‘Moab Speed GTX 1TRL’. As well as the return of the unique and polarizing ‘Hydro Moc’ in a number of colorways.

Considered design and innovative technology are showcased throughout the Merrell 1TRL collection, utilizing industry-leading Gore-Tex® waterproofing, FloatPro® and Vibram® technology.  This creates a durable and versatile range for the wearer that does not compromise on comfort as they forge a path into nature from their front door.

MQM Ace Craze 1TRL
MQM is an acronym for ‘move quickly over mountains’. This exclusive athletic iteration features recycled laces and a Vibram® sole for ensuring grip on challenging terrain. An unconventional take on a classic Merrell model, the MQM Ace Craze 1TRL is available in marble and stingray colorways. MSRP: $130 

MQM Ace LTR 1TRL
This exclusive lightweight iteration features a rich suede upper, recycled laces and a Vibram® sole for ensuring grip on challenging terrain. A subtle take on a classic Merrell model, the MQM Ace LTR 1TRL is available in black, burlwood, and camel colorways. MSRP: $120 

Jungle Slide Vent 1TRL
Exclusive to 1TRL, and growing the moc family, the Jungle Slide Vent takes the subversive Jungle Moc and converts it into a breathable, lightweight slider. With Merrell Air Cushion in the heel, lightweight EVA foam insole, mesh lining and a sticky rubber outsole for extra grip. Culminating in a robust yet easy-on and off shoe. Available in taupe, olive and midnight colorways. MSRP: $75

Hydro Moc
The Hydro Moc is an amphibious model in the aftersport category, designed for the trails that take you in and out of water. Formed from a single-density injected EVA contoured arch with an articulated heel and strap for advanced support. It’s not for everyone, but it might just be for you. Available in black, kangaroo and kombu colorways. MSRP: $50

Jungle Moc
The Jungle Moc has defined the aftersport category for over 20 years. Aircushion technology is combined with a Kinetic Fit™ BASE sole and nylon shank. The pigskin suede upper contains as many pores as human skin, making it a superior breathable option when compared to regular leather. Available in castle rock, classic taupe and midnight colorways. Catalyst Pro
A robust and rugged upgrade – Catalyst Pro is a classically styled model with future-facing design features. Fitted with a Vibram® EcoDura sole and recycled webbing, laces and lining. Vibram® EcoDura technology is made from a minimum of 30% recycled rubber to create a high-quality compound formulation, forming a more durable and sustainable end product. The Catalyst Pro is available in camel colorway this April. MSRP: $120

Moab Speed GTX 1TRL
The exclusive Moab Speed GTX 1TRL takes the innovations of the archival Moab and updates them for the ever-changing trail. Built on a Rock plate foundation with recycled laces, lining and footbed. The shoe is engineered with Gore-Tex® waterproofing, FloatPro® and a Vibram® EcoDura sole, a compound made from a minimum of 30% recycled material. Available in triple black and triple white colorways with bold branding details. MSRP: $150
