Seattle, WA – MiiR Bottles announced today they have raised sufficient funds to build their very first freshwater well in an African village, providing approximately 250 people with clean water for at least the next 20 years. MiiR works directly with an organization called mycharitywater.org to orchestrate their one4one program where one dollar from every bottle purchased goes toward the purchase of clean water.
“When MiiR was concepted, we wanted to do more than just reduce plastic bottle waste. We began with a simple goal: to raise awareness of the clean water crisis in our world and pair action with it,†says Bryan Papé, MiiR Founder and CEO. “Today marks not only an important day for MiiR but also for our customers, fans, and supporters. We are extremely proud and thankful to have completed funding for our first clean water well within just three months of launching the company.â€
The new well funded by MiiR and its supporters will be finished within 12 – 18 months. Photos and GPS coordinates of the completed well will be shared on the MiiR website www.miir.com and on the MiiR facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/miirbottles.
