Mike Ehredt Completes First Half of Project America Run, Part II
Mike Ehredt has successfully crossed the halfway point of his 2,100 mile journey from International Falls, MN to Galveston, TX in his Project America Run, Part II.

Los Angeles, CA — Follow the Project America Run map and you’ll see that Mike Ehredt has successfully crossed the halfway point of his 2,100-mile journey from International Falls, MN to Galveston, TX. Mike is currently running through Illinois, keeping up his pace of 26 miles a day, every day, honoring fallen US soldiers from the Afghanistan War at each mile. He has run an approximate total of 1,000 miles thus far, with 1,100 miles ahead of him.
Several supporters have been meeting Mike on the road to share in his mission of honoring fallen American service members. One in particular was Army wife and mother, Shaila Spry, who joined Mike for a day, helping to plant flags at every mile. Hear about her experience here.
Along his route, Mike has been making numerous stops at schools – sharing with students why he felt the need to complete Project America Run. Students and faculty come away with an inspiring, long-lasting message of remembering those who served our country. “Sharing this personal message of dreams and goals to them has been a rewarding experience. So far, I’ve had great reception from schools.”
Another significant highlight for Mike on the road was seeing a flag from his previous Project America Run, which he completed in 2010. “At the crossroads of both routes in Galena, Ill., I spotted a flag from 2010’s Project America Run – tattered but still there. Seeing it still standing beside the road was a great reminder of remembrance.”

Mike will finish Project America Run in Galveston, Texas on Veterans Day, November 11th. Supporters, friends, family, and Hyland’s team members will be there to celebrate and honor his PAR II finish.
