MontrailÂ® Athlete Jamie Donaldson Breaks Record at the Badwater Ultra-Marathon
Richmond, CA (July 17, 2008) â€“ Montrail Athlete Jamie Donaldson from Littleton, Colorado broke the women’s course record at the Badwater Ultra-Marathon, considered to be the toughest race in America. On July 15, 2008 in Death Valley, Jamie crushed the seven-year old course record by 1 hour, 5 minutes and 14 seconds.
Jamie completed the 135-mile desert course with a winning time of 26:51:33. The previous women’s record of 27:56:47 had stood since 2002. Results such as these have earned her a spot on the US National Team to compete in the 6th Annual World Championship 24-Hour Run of the International Association of Ultrarunners to be held in Seoul, Korea on Oct. 18-19.
