Mountain Hardwear Debuts New Insulated Styles for Fall 2017

Richmond, Calif. (Jan 11, 2017) – Mountain Hardwear, Inc., an outdoor industry leader in product innovation, is pleased to debut new insulated styles for Fall 2017. Building on the success of the 2016’s StretchDown Jackets, Mountain Hardwear is expanding the line with two new insulated styles, the StretchDown DS and the StretchDown HD.
“The evolution of StretchDown pushes what can be done with welded baffles. We have worked with our materials and supplier partners on new welding technology to help increase mobility, and comfort. This new process decreases the baffle width to allow for maximum versatility and help decrease weight in the entire program. Our new welding technology actually improves on the already amazingly strong baffle strength,” said Steve Adams, senior product line manager for outwear. “The StretchDown DS has evolved in terms of mobility and packability with the new discontinuous baffle construction, really focusing on an active end use. And the StretchDown HD is an amazing hybrid of both our Q-Shield® Down and Thermal Q™ Insulation allowing for a perfect shoulder season insulated jacket.”
