Mountain Hardwear Inks Three-Year Partnership with Matchstick Productions

Richmond, Calif. (March 23, 2015) – Mountain Hardwear, creator of performance apparel and equipment that empowers outdoor athletes to live boldly, is pleased to have the 2015 snow sports season of first descents and filming expeditions culminate with signing a three-year partnership agreement with Matchstick Productions.

 Also known as MSP Films, Matchstick Productions is a film production company based in Crested Butte, Colorado. Founded in 1992, Matchstick aims to create entertaining films that are not only stunning visually but on the cutting edge of action sports.

 Mountain Hardwear athletes Michelle Parker and James Heim will continue to be featured in MSP’s annual ski films. This winter, Parker and Heim have traveled with film crews to Japan in search of the never-ending powder and British Columbia where they skied at one of Canada’s first backcountry resorts, Golden Alpine Holidays. Currently, Parker and Heim are in Haines, Alaska seeking big lines and steep terrain.

Snowsports Team Members Noah Howell, Jenn Berg and Andrew McLean have spent the 2014-15 season shooting in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, exploring deeper and deeper stashes via link-ups, traverses and backcountry heli trips.
