Mountain Hardwear, a leader in outdoor apparel, equipment and accessories, announced today the official launch of www.MountainHardwear.com, a new e-commerce site where consumers can buy Mountain Hardwear products online directly from the company for the first time.
MountainHardwear.com offers the broadest range of Mountain Hardwear premium outdoor apparel and equipment in the U.S., meeting the rising consumer demand for the brand and its products. For consumers, who increasingly prefer to research their product purchases online, MountainHardwear.com offers an easy and interactive way to experience the brand, learn about product features and benefits and find nearby independent retailers or Mountain Hardwear-branded stores.
“Our new website provides a robust platform bringing the Mountain Hardwear brand to life, building powerful and inclusive online communities and driving our direct-to-consumer business,†said Mountain Hardwear President Topher Gaylord. “Our consumers will find an array of rich content including interactive product pages, athlete inspiration, product and outdoor lifestyle video content, company culture, as well as direct-to-consumer e-commerce. MountainhHardwear.com will provide our valued customers with the brand experience they’ve come to expect.â€
Mountain Hardwear has specifically designed the new site so consumers can fully experience the company’s innovations and unique performance features. Using many of today’s most advanced e-commerce technologies, Mountain Hardwear delivers a user-friendly and dynamic shopping experience, featuring:
• Full-screen product take-over and zoom
• Product videos
• Product comparison tool
• Multiple ways to filter products
• Ratings and Reviews
• Customer Loyalty Program
Mountain Hardwear has simultaneously launched a new Mobile e-commerce website. Joining the select ranks of retail brands who offer Mobile e-commerce, Mountain Hardwear is among the first to optimize its consumer blog for the Mobile site. “Latest projections show that mobile web traffic will surpass desktop traffic within 5 years, and we are thrilled to be ahead of the curve to better serve our consumer,†said Dustin Clark, the company’s web manager.
In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of their ecommerce order, customers have the option to request shipment in a reused cardboard box using A Box Lifeâ„¢, a program developed and introduced one year ago by Columbia.com, Mountain Hardwear’s parent company. Since inception, 66% of Columbia.com consumers have chosen to have their purchases shipped in a used box. One can see where a cardboard box has travelled by scanning a Quick Response (QR) sticker located on the box. Tracking a unique box’s path on www.aboxlife.com provides information such as the number of miles travelled, number of participants and the number of boxes saved. MountainHardwear.com is also reducing shipping material waste by using poly bags that are recyclable or reusable and signature to the Mountain Hardwear brand.
